Who We Are
Tom Bright
CEO
Tom Bright is the Chief Executive Officer. He joined SWGage in 1988, becoming sole owner a few years later, and has been involved with both sales of measurement equipment, and the operations of the machine shop ever since. Previously he spend most of his career operating and managing manufacturing plants.Tom graduated from Western University in Canada, and added a CPA to broaden his business knowledge.
Sally Bright
Vice President Administration
Sally Bright is Vice President of Administration. She looks after all of the Human Resources function including payroll, benefit plans such as medical, dental and life insurance and 401k. She brings many years of experience on these thorny issues, as well as sage advice on the operations of the business.
Robert Quinn
Sales Manager / Technical Services Manager

Robert Quinn is the Technical Services and Sales Manager. For 20 years, Robert worked in quality control internally in manufacturing plants such as Timex, ranging from setup inspection, final audit, receiving inspection supervisor, Quality Engineer and Quality Manager. For the next 20 years, Robert worked with metrology distributors working with customers, providing his expert advice to help solve their dimensional measurement issues. He is very knowledgeable in GD&T, SPC and measurement techniques. Robert attended Southern State College, Arkansas, and he is a Certified Quality Engineer through ASQ.
Richard Avina
Senior Sales / Senior Service
Richard is a senior sales and service field support staff member who has worked in quality internally in plants such as Boeing/Valeo, and externally working for 14 years with customers in the US and Mexico solving their dimensional measurement issues. Richard knows the equipment from the service level, to training in use, to what's best for your needs. Richard studied mechanical engineering at the University of Texas Arlington.
Aaron Wensel
Metrology Sales / Service Tech
Aaron has over 22 years of experience in manufacturing and quality control. An experienced machine shop manager, Aaron has extensive experience with machine tools, quality tools, CMMs, vision measuring machines, fixture design, and GD&T. Aaron graduated from Sam Houston State University Huntsville, Texas.
Jose Sanchez
Manufacturing Manager
Jose is the machine shop manager. He has worked in machines shops, mostly Southwestern Gage, for 25 years, starting as an apprentice, and working up through the operation of manual mills and lathe, operating both as CNC, and finally programming the CNC machines. Jose is conversant with AutoCad, MasterCam, and Solidworks. He obtained his supervisory skills during his time in the Marine Corp., raising to the rank of Sergeant.
Mario
Shop Foreman
Mario Adan is the shop foreman and CNC programmer. He has worked in machine shops for 30 years, ever since studying at Mountain View college. Mario programs and sets up all the CNC machines. Mario works with AutoCad, SolidWorks, and blueprint reading. He can operate any machine in our shop, and teaches all new shop employees.
Anthony Mena
Metrology Sales
Anthony Mena works in Sales Service department. He is your first
contact when you call in. He supports the field sales and service personnel, as well as working with customers on sales inquires and pricing, and delivery status, as well as passing customers on to the appropriate sales and service personnel when required. Anthony attended Southwest University in El Paso, TX.
Alvie Thomas
Accounting Assistant
Alvie Thomas is an Accounting Assistant at Southwestern Gage. Alvie produces all invoicing, is responsible for accounts receivable, oversees order entry, and interfaces with customers on invoicing and collection matters. Alvie attended Polytechnic University of the Philippines to study business administration and accounting.
